안녕하세요, 이준호 원장입니다.

여름 마지막 인사드립니다. 오늘은 아이들 얘기보다 어머님들 얘기를 먼저 하고 싶습니다.

이번 여름, 아이들보다 먼저 일어나신 건 어머님들이었습니다. 아침 챙겨 먹이고, 태워다 주시고, 오후에 다시 나와서 기다리시고. 하루도 아니고 몇 주 내내 그렇게 하셨습니다. 아이는 교실에서 공부했지만, 그 교실까지 오는 길은 전부 어머님이 만드셨습니다. 공부의 절반은 부모님 노력이라는 말, 저는 과장이 아니라고 생각합니다.

거기에 하나 더 있습니다. 저는 학원을 강하게 운영합니다. 아이들도 힘들었겠지만, 지켜보는 부모 마음은 더 힘드셨을 겁니다. 그런데도 불평 한번 없이 기다려주시고 믿어주셨습니다. 그 믿음이 있었기에 저희가 끝까지 밀어붙일 수 있었습니다. 진심으로 감사드립니다.

선생님들과 스태프도 최선을 다했습니다. 그래도 부족한 점이 있었다면 넓은 마음으로 이해해 주세요.

저도 부모입니다. 예전에는 결과가 전부인 줄 알았는데, 이제는 과정이 중요하다는 걸, 열심히 하면 결과는 따라온다는 걸 이해하는 나이가 됐습니다. 이번 여름, 우리 아이들은 그 과정을 제대로 거쳤습니다. 그리고 그 과정을 매일 옆에서 받친 분들이 어머님들입니다.

그래도 아이들 칭찬 많이 해주세요. 그리고 오늘만큼은 어머님들도 스스로를 칭찬해 주셨으면 합니다. 이번 여름은 어머님들이 함께 완주하셨습니다.

미국에서 이렇게 공부시키기 쉽지 않습니다. 그 선택에 학원이 부흥했기를 기대합니다. 다들 최선을 다했습니다. 그러면 결과는 따라옵니다.

너무 다들 고생하셨습니다. 다시 한번 저희 마스터클래스를 선택해주셔서 감사합니다.

Hello, this is David Lee, Director of Master Klass.

Today, before I say anything about the students, I want to talk about you, the parents.

This summer, the first ones awake were not the students. It was you. Making breakfast, driving them in, coming back out in the afternoon to wait and drive them home. Not for a day, but week after week. Your child studied in the classroom, but the road to that classroom was built entirely by you. When I say half of a student's work belongs to the parents, I do not mean it as a figure of speech.

And there is one more thing. I run this academy hard. I know that. The students had it tough, but watching from the outside as a parent must have been even harder. Yet not once did you complain. You waited, and you trusted us. It was because of that trust that we could push the students all the way to the end. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Our teachers and staff gave everything they had as well. If we fell short anywhere, I ask for your generous understanding.

I am a parent too. There was a time when I thought results were everything. But I have reached the age where I understand that the process matters, and that when you truly put in the work, the results follow. This summer, our students went through that process the right way. And the people who carried them through it, every single day, were you.

When you get home, please praise your children. And just for today, I hope you will give yourselves some credit as well. This summer, you crossed the finish line together with them.

The parents gave their best, and the teachers gave their best. When that happens, the results follow.
